We believe that each worker who was injured on the job should have immediate access to state-of-the-art medical care in a comfortable and supportive environment. As Oregon’s only orthopedic practice solely focused on work injuries, our team will work closely with you to answer your questions, discuss your options under the workers’ compensation system, and provide you the necessary materials to get back to work.
Personalized Care Exclusively for Injured Workers
Our Partnership with Oregon Surgical Institute
Most procedures take place at the innovative Oregon Surgical Institute (OSI). As the first surgery center in the northwest United States designed specifically for complex cases and procedures, OSI features wider halls, larger operating rooms, specific aftercare areas, and a rehabilitation unit so patients have access to a post-operative rehab as quickly, and conveniently, as possible.
Our History
In 1998, Dr. John Di Paola established Occupational Orthopedics after realizing how difficult it was for injured workers to receive specialized care quickly and efficiently. Over the past 22 years, the practice grew to three locations across Oregon including Tualatin, Gateway and Salem. In July 2020, Dr. Di Paola retired and selected Dr. Joseph Schenck to take over the practice. Under Dr. Schenck, Occupational Orthopedics began its partnership with OSI in 2020. In 2021 Occupational Orthopedics expanded with another location in Tanasbourne.
